Ay

In the dark of night I lay,

Hoping sleep will come to play

My body fears the coming day

but why I truely cannot say

I know the cause, just not the way

This lurking demon I can slay

Alas I can only charge the fray

For life's demands I need my pay

Some would hide and others pray

Some let that anxiety lead them astray

“Make Good Art” decrees that, nay

I find another way, okay

So to while the nights long hours away

I befriend my madness, won't you stay?
